Backup Advice

Protect your collection data

  • Use Back Up Collection before reinstalling the app or clearing browser data.
  • Keep exported JSON backups somewhere you control, such as cloud storage or a synced documents folder.
  • Restore Collection reads only the backup file you choose.
iPhone and iPad

Installing on iPhone or iPad

While we work on the iOS version, Apple users can install the web app in a few taps:

  1. Open the web app link in Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up), then scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen".
  3. Tap "Add" in the top corner.
  4. The Field Guide will appear on your home screen, ready to open like any other app.
